Arthur Khu grew up in New Haven, Conn.and received a degree in classical piano performance at Oberlin Conservatory.

When Khu met Flip Nunez, the legendary Filipino Fillmore pianist who played with many of the great singers, including Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn, he convinced Arthur that he was a jazz musician!
